Mike MacDonald,
Owner, Manager, Master Stylist

Mike began his career in 1999 as a stylist training to be a platform artist with strong foundational skills based on Pivot Point.

A cornerstone of Mike’s approach has been a commitment to continued education and training while keeping current with and researching the latest trends. Along with having a strong interest in cut design, Mike has a passion for creating customized colours for each of his guests.  His interest and advanced training in colour has developed into a role as an educator for the Aveda network which affords him the opportunity to work with and train Aveda Colour teams across the Maritimes.

Following several years of working within a salon and attending countless sessions of education to advance his trade, he decided to create his own model of a “boutique studio”.  Opening Revive Hair Studio in April 2005, Mike teamed up with Aveda, offering an alternative to the beauty products clients had become accustomed to and creating an environmentally aware space that would relax and revive each guest. The original concept of Revive witnessed quick growth and soon required a larger location.  Once relocated Revive became an Aveda Concept salon and spa, the only Concept in Sydney. Mike remains committed to ensuring a consistent high level of customer service and this commitment was recently recognized by the Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce who awarded Revive with the Excellence in Customer Service Award.

Jessica Robertson, Master Hair Stylist

Jessica is a highly educated Master Stylist who has been with Revive since her graduation from NSCC in 2010 making her a knowledgeable Aveda professional. Jessica has a flare for updos and is consistently able to impress with the styles she envisions. She loves to step outside the box with her unlimited creativity when finding the perfect color and style to suit her clients. Jessica is always ready to face a challenge in her journey to achieve the perfect “you.”

Jessica is fully trained in cuts, styles, color and hair extensions. She constantly strives to improve her skills taking various Aveda courses and stays updated on all the latest trends placing high value on customer satisfaction.

When Jessica isn’t at Revive she enjoys experimenting with makeup, shopping and spending time appreciating the outdoors.

Lisa Taylor, Esthetician & Laser Technician

Lisa Taylor has been practicing the fine art of esthetics since 2004, and has been a member of the Revive team since the shop’s opening in 2005. Lisa is constantly learning and finding new avenues to help her clients’ bodies grow and thrive.  Working with her philosophy that “facials are an art and makeup is a place to create magic;” Lisa brings a love of skin care and therapies to Revive and is certain to find the right products and treatments for your skin type.

Lisa has been a certified reflexologist since 2013 and loves the mechanics of feet. In addition, Lisa is fully trained in waxing, laser hair removal, manicures and pedicures, assuring that she will be willing to offer advice and provide services to meet any of your beauty needs.

In her spare time Lisa enjoys being a mom to her beautiful daughter.

Keely Bungay, Esthetician & Laser Technician

Keely has been an active member of the beauty industry since 2008, and a member of the Revive team since January, 2014. Keely has a keen eye for details and brings this acute attention to each of her meticulous services. Keely has a preference for foot and nail care and is able to use her detail oriented eye to make sure you have the best service possible. Keely’s patient and detail focused attention guarantees that she will be able to excel in helping you with any of your beauty concerns.

Additionally, Keely is fully trained in waxing, facials, and laser hair removal, promising that she can assist you with anything from everyday nails and skincare to special event makeup.

Outside of Revive Keely has a lifelong involvement with horses and enjoys teaching riding lessons, horse training and showing in her spare time.
